How to Resolve a City of Wichita Warrant

Most warrants that are issued through the City of Wichita Municipal Court can be resolved without being arrested.

Here are the different types of warrants that the court issues and what you need to do to clear the warrant:

CIT(Citation Warrant)

A citation warrant can be resolved by completing one of the following options:

  • Pay the full amount of the citation
  • Create a payment plan to pay off the citation
  • Schedule a court appearance for the citation

A citation warrant is issued when you fail to respond to the citation within 10 days from the date it was issued.

CBW(Court Bench Warrant)

To resolve a court bench warrant, you will need to appear on the Walk-in Docket. The docket is held Monday through Friday excluding the first Friday of the month and holidays. Check-in is between 6:45 am and 7:15 am on a first-come, first-served basis until 20 people have been scheduled for the day.

NTA(Notice to Appear)

Individuals are given a court date to appear in court for this type of warrant. If you have other outstanding warrants, you can be arrested for an NTA. This warrant can be resolved through the Walk-in Docket.

PBV(Probation Violations)

The warrant office serves probation violation warrants and it’s resolved using the Walk-in Docket process.

UCC(Uniform Criminal Complaint)

If you have an outstanding UCC warrant there is a possibility you can be arrested. Follow the procedure for a Walk-in Docket to clear this type of warrant.
