Cancel a Warrant

To cancel a warrant, the first thing you need to do is to go to the link for canceling warrants and perform a Denver County Warrant Search. You need to enter your first and last name and your date of birth to search the warrant database.

You can also check with the Denver County Court records department over the phone to determine if you have an active warrant. Their number is 720-337-0464.

If you discover that you have a warrant, you should contact the Warrants Division of the Denver County Court. They are responsible for issuing, maintaining, and canceling Denver County warrants.

You will need to pay a $100 warrant cancellation fee. This fee is non-refundable and is only for failure to appear warrants. You can pay the cancellation fee online or in-person. If you choose to pay the fee in-person, you will need to go to the Clerk’s Office located at 520 W Colfax Avenue Rm 160 or 1437 Bannock Street Rm 137.

Clear a Warrant

If you performed a warrant search and you have a warrant that is ineligible to be canceled, you will need to surrender to the Denver Police Department. You will have to be booked into the Denver County jail and go before a judge.

If you do not want to spend the night in jail, you will need to pay your bond in person and receive a new court date. The bond and fees can be paid at the VanCise-Simonet Detention Center located at 490 Colfax Avenue, first floor. You either need to pay the full amount of the bond and fees or you would need to have a licensed bondsman post the bond for you. Once you have posted the bond it can take 10 to 15 minutes to clear.
